SIDEWALL REPAIR
A puncture in the tread is inconvenient.
A cut in the sidewall can leave you stranded.
Sidewalls flex constantly. They aren’t reinforced like the tread area, and when they’re sliced by sharp rock, metal, or debris, most people assume the tire is done.
That’s exactly why we built this system.
The GlueTread sidewall repair is designed to be completed without removing the tire from the wheel.
- Locate and inspect the damage. Ensure it’s small and repairable.
- Prepare the surface. Clean and buff the damaged area to promote a strong bond.
- Apply adhesive and patch. The heavy-duty rubber patch is bonded directly over the damaged section.
- Allow it to cure. Once set, the repair reinforces the weakened area and helps prevent the tear from spreading.
The result is a strong, flexible repair that allows you to safely get off the trail.

The most common type of tire damage happens in the tread area — typically from a screw, nail, sharp rock, or metal debris.
We re-engineered the standard plug tool and built ours from CNC-machined aluminum right here in the United States. It’s stronger, more durable, and built to handle real off-road use.
We pair that tool with high-quality, U.S.-made self-vulcanizing tire plugs, allowing you to permanently repair punctures in the tread area without removing the tire.
This isn’t a gas-station plug kit.

Emergency Valve Stem
The third most common tire failure is a damaged valve stem.
GlueTread partnered with Colby Valve to bring an industry-leading, on-trail valve stem repair solution to this kit.
If a valve stem tears or fails, you simply:
- Cut out the damaged valve stem
- Insert the replacement valve stem into the hole in the wheel.
- Thread the CNC-machined aluminum wing nut onto the new valve stem
- Reinflate the tire
There is no need to remove the tire from the wheel and no need to remove the wheel from the vehicle.
It’s a fast, reliable solution that turns what used to be a major breakdown into a simple trail repair.
