Used the external patch kit for a partially torn snowmobile track lug. I took extreme care and had a good plan when installing onto the uneven surfaces. The results were staggeringly terrific and I can not believe how well the patch has held and after many rides there aren't sign of wear or failure. I will always have a spare kit in my tool chest. HIGHLY reccommend.

I simply followed instructions and patched the sidewalk of tractor tire in two places and surprisingly it has held.

Got a very deep cut in the sidewall when unloading because of a Sharp piece of metal on the trailer. This solved the problem. I used a Disc Sander instead of sandpaper and I cleaned everything with carburetor cleaner.

I had a 9/16” puncture on a tractor tire. the hole was too big for a plug. i was concerned the hole was too large for this patch, but i gave it a try, because the alternative would have been to remove this heavy tire in the field. i followed the instructions, and it worked great! i will keep a spare kit with me now

Life saver! I used this sidewall repair kit to patch my ATV trailer in the snow. Wasn’t sure if/when I’d ever need it but I like to be prepared for any situation. 20 bucks wasn’t much and it saves the tire and potentially the rim if you’re far out in the woods. Plus it was super easy to use! If it matters, I applied this at about 30°F and only needed my pocket knife to clear the hole out. I’m keeping a kit on hand every time I go out now!

Works exactly as it says. Potholes blew out the side wall of a brand new $400 tire that hasn’t seen 100 miles and I don’t ever buy the warranty with the tires. That being said these patches are Lifesavers. I’ve now gone over 1000 miles and had no issue whatsoever. Would highly recommend.

Rocks cut sidewall pretty bad of rear tire. Tires are foamed so can't leak but if leaving tear, can get worse, Used glue on cuts and clamped in place for several hours. Looks much better. Then used dremmel tool to carefully grind down raised letters to make patch area all flat. Rounded patch corners so as to avoid an edge that can catch. Next day applied patch with glue and clamped in place to hold flat against bulging sidewall. Seems to hold (so far). Time will tell as using tractor. Only reason for de-rating 1 star is because only 1 mini-tube of liquid glue. Used it all. Kit had 4 patches. Need to buy more glue. Not too expensive, just hassle & not in Amazon. Have to buy directly from GlueTread web site. They should put at lease 3X more glue in each kit. Also should list extra glue in Amazon for sale.

I had a nail in the side wall on the tread and use this product to repair it other than buying a new tire which would’ve been $100 more. I had to trim the piece of rubber to match the tread lines to prevent snagging. Also I found it beneficial to just embed the nail ( no head ) a little bit further into the tire , and not to pull it out; so that when I applied the glue within the hole it went around the nail head and then pooled on top and when sanding the rubber to clean for the patch I could use the rubber dust to basically make a mixture with the glue to create a better adhesion around the hole, similar to what you do when you fill wood with with sawdust and glue. So far the air pressures been holding,There’s tires in the front so it feels more impact and wait, it’s been about two weeks.

I got two substantial sidewall punctures at the same time in the desert in 275/65-18 Goodyear Duratracs on a 2009 Land Rover LR3. I only had one spare and no cell service. A fellow off roader in a jeep passed through and was kind enough to leave me this kit. I was able to reseat the bead, I cut some of the protruding lugs off to make a flat area for the patch to adhere to. It worked and held through about 15 miles of off-road and 15 miles of street driving. It did leak out the next morning but I am able to pump it back up again to get to the tire shop. I replaced the one that was given to me and bought a new one for my kit. The glue is just super glue so I will be carrying a couple of extra tubes as well. I highly recommend carrying this!

Very sturdy and looks great. I like how the design actually extends the cargo bay as well. 10 minute install. Highly recommend!

I drive a highly modified 2004 Ford excursion. Weighs 9300 pounds. I got a puncture right at the top of my sidewall, called glue tread, I sent Dave a couple of pictures, he advised it’s not for Road use, however, he thought I might have a chance to repair it. I could not get a new tire for three days. So I ordered the glue tread, followed the directions, Very simple even cutting the patch as custom as I did only took a few minutes. Start to finish seven minutes. I put 93 miles on the tire, didn’t lose a pound of pressure, I filled it up to 40 psi. My new tire came in but by that point I wasn’t even thinking about the patch. This is a great product. I highly recommend it. And the customer support was fantastic. The repair is hard to see, but if you look at the picture of the tire on the truck, it’s on the lower left, I put the patch over one of the original grooves in the tread, that’s how you can tell the patch is there. Otherwise, you would never even know.
